Pranic healing is a medicinal modality created, rediscovered by Master Choa Kok Sui that uses prana (energy) to heal ailments in the body by manipulation of the person's energy field.
According to Master Choa Kok Sui Pranic healing is like acupuncture and yoga in that it treats the "energy body" which in turn affects the "physical body". According to Master Choa Kok Sui, in ancient China there were 5 levels of healing. The first being massage which is often referred to as acupressure. The second level involves healing with herbs and some animal products. The third uses acupuncture and moxibustion. In the four level the healer uses acupuncture with the projection of chi into the needles and meridians. The fifth level, which required the highest level of skill was the projection of chi without the use of physical contact or needles. The projection of chi energy (pranic energy) without physical contact is called Medical Chi Kung in China and was a closely guarded secret in both India and China. Chakras, in some Hinduist traditions and other belief systems, are centers of Prana, life force, or vital energy. Chakras correspond to vital points in the physical body i.e. major plexuses of arteries, veins and nerves. Their name derives from the Sanskrit word for "wheel" or "turning".
.The chakras are thought to vitalise the physical body and to be associated with interactions of a physical, emotional and mental nature. They are considered loci of life energy or prana, also called shakti, qi (Chinese; ki in Japanese), which is thought to flow among them along pathways called nadis. The function of the chakras is to spin and draw in this energy to keep the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical health of the body in balance.
